So i only have 4 more days till i start semester 2 of school. i just got my osap today, but because it is in a cheque form it cant all be cashed right away. my landlady understands and will let me live here free for a couple more days (phew!). yesterday i went to the upper canada mall with my roomate, he bought some boots, i just looked around. on sunday night in the -18 Celsius weather and wind a couple of us from young peoples decided to go tobboganning for the evening from 730 till 9. yes, even we need to have fun at times. the funny thing is some parents came with also and were actually sledding with us for a bit. it was good times.

New Year !

so it seems a nother year has passed and we can thank God once again that he has kept our family from serious injury, though there were some close calls at the end of the year. so i'd like to same happy neew year to everyone and wish you God's blessing for the year that is.
last night i had a good time at the VanHalterns, playing some games, going for a walk in the snow and counting down the new year and reflecting on the year that was.
it was nice to wake up this morning at 9 am after 6 hours of sleep and find out we had 3" of snow on the ground! so i will be out doing a little snow shovelling today but other than that i don t know whats happening. anyways, till later, bye.

Great Time yesterday, Home today

So i had a great time yesterday. Yes it was Sunday and i enjoyed it very much. I went to the host family in between church with a bunch of people and i must say, there were at least 15 visitors plus the seven occupants of the house and two dogs so it was quite full. after church this same family invited me over for supper again and i ended up staying till 930. it was quite the good time. anyways, im heading home today, in about 1 1/2 hours and probably staying there for a week so that should be fun. other than that new stuff, not much is going on so i'll leave you till next time, wishing you safety and christmas cheer!

just another christmas day

well another day has come and so far i have done nothing. its the joy of being a student during christmas break. okay, so i know i should get a job and when i looked at the bank account this morning i obviously need one, but they're hard to get at this time of year. this afternoon will be a little more interesting as i plan on going running, working on a puzzle and playing some nfs mw. oh, and maybe watching the leafs lose again.

Exams Done!!

so, all of semester one is finally done, finished with 2 easy 2 page exams. maybe some more time to write on here now. anyways, theres lots of snow falling here now and its a decent -8 celsius out, too cold to walk home from school so im waiting for this for another 1 1/2 hours. planning on staying up here in aurora till after sunday so i guess i'll be heading home for a break maybe on the 21 or 22. till later, goodbye.

Cross country, church, girlfriend

hey, now its been a very long time since i posted something on here, but there is reasoning to it. first, my computer was broken, took four days to fix at staples. i ve also been busy with school (yes the work is building up). also, i enjoyed my first college cross country run finishing 19/100 with a time of 29:22. this happened on saturday but we stayed in london for the night before so we wouldnt have to get up too early( still 630am). Church is good here. my addestation was read off today, had to stand up for that so everyone could see me. the young peoples meetings are definetly worthwhile as is the host family that i go to each sunday lunch with some other guys. since this is getting too long, i guess there will be no room to talk about the girl yet?? have fun where ever you are when your reading this. out for the night.

been a while

sorry its been a while since i posted on here but ive been busy with other things. things such as an enjoyable night at the parents home. enjoyable in the supper and family time was good, the matress not quite so. then i was caught up in running (over 8km today alone) and sleeping in till 10am this morning so you can hopefully understand the long time, no talk thing. anyways enough excuses. there's not much new here. i have applied to work at McD's. as strange as it sounds from me, i hope i get a job there. i ve also been working on one of my school projects, collecting leaves to make a herbarium (look it up if you dont know what it is). anyways, seeing as this is getting quite long it is probably boru=ing to read by this point so i will end it now. over and out.

so, suppose i'll be heading off to bed seeing as i have classes at 8am tomorrow, but first, i will talk about cross country running. tryouts were fun today, easy work out to begin, some decent runners and some great runners that make it a challenge. anyways, nighty-night.

hey, whats up? not much here really. school was a little more interesting then yesterday, but two of the classes were lectures. nice thing about technology is that all lectures are posted online so no notes need to be taken, making class easy. well, i still have cross country tryouts today, hope that gos well. i'll probably get another post up yet tonight so until then, good bye

First (boring) day of college

Hey everybody. today was first day of college. t' was very boring. all that was done in first 2 classes was go over what the course was about and little tours were taken of our outdoor "classroom". Third class was even more boring as we sat there listening the entire time about what we would do the whole year. the only good thing about last class is that everyones background story was told to the class. Oh, and then to finish the day off i decided to walk home from school( 5km ). Also, so you can see my living conditions i am adding some pics of my shared apt.

these are the stitches i received after my bike broke on me. the entire front forks decided to separate from the frame as i was crossing the road. dont worry though, damage only occured to the face, leaving everything else intact, well other than the shoulders, but they only had some major road rash on them that still hurts about 90% of the day. there's one more full face shot that does not want to load right now(something with the internet again) so it'll probably be posted later. thats it for today, talk later.
